Laney

Laney Amplification was founded in 1967 out of an obsession with music and electronics. Lyndon Laney was at school at the time and playing in several bands around the West Midlands of the UK. A fascination for tubes and a desire to make his own amplifier; partly out of interest but mainly out of economic necessity, bands did not make a lot of money in those days, led to the birth of Laney amplification on a kitchen table in his parents house. Lyndon started to get demands from fellow musicians for amplifiers and started to supplement his meager wages from playing in bands with amplifier sales... this was a good idea!!
